The incident took place on Sunday night. The victim, identified as Chandan Gupta, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6, where doctors declared him brought dead. Sunil Kumar, a fellow professional, who was just behind the victim when the incident took place, told the police that the truck, bearing a Himachal Pradesh registration number, hit the victim, tossing him into the air. The Administration said wearing of masks was needed, especially in closed environments such as public transport (buses, trains, aircraft and taxis), inside cinema halls, shopping malls, department stores, classrooms and office rooms, and at indoor gatherings. Only 29 per cent children have been vaccinated with the first dose of Corbevax in the age group of 12 to 14 and only 0.5 per cent have taken the second dose also. The girl’s family complained against the boy’s family at the Mauli Jagran police station. Akash Bhalla (30), in his complaint, told the police that he came in contact with a person who claimed to be the head of the office managing the affairs of helicopter rides to the shrine. He said the suspect shared with him a link of a fake website of Shri Mata Vaishno ‘DIALLED HELPLINE’ “I trusted him and transferred ~45,000 in his Google Pay account. On payment, the suspect shared with me fake tickets for a helicopter ride to the shrine. To clarify my doubts, I dialled the helicopter helpline number from where I got to know that the tickets sent to me were fake.” — Complainant Devi Shrine Board, which promised various services, including a helicopter ride. “I trusted him and trans- ferred ~45,000 in his Google Pay account. On payment, the suspect shared with me fake tickets for a helicopter ride to the shrine. To clarify my doubts, I dialled the helicopter helpline number from where I got to know that the tickets sent to me were fake,” the FIR reads, quoting the complainant.
