The Indian Council of Medical Research-National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research (ICMRNCDIR) study, published in the Journal of Human Hypertension, found that 28.5 per cent of the Indian adults were hypertensive. 10,593 3,017 840 adults covered in ICMR-NCDIR survey found to have high blood pressure aware of their medical condition. Eight years down the line, the situation has come to such a pass that there is not a single student in the Talwara meritorious school that has 200 seats. As for other schools, the numbers, if not dismal, are not encouraging. Just 61 students in Sangrur, 53 in Amritsar and 27 in Gur- Today’s issue is of 16 pages, including four-page Jalandhar Tribune.
