Additional Director General of Police, Jammu zone, Mukesh Singh said the drone was shot down by a police party in Talli Hariya Chak area of Rajbagh shortly after it crossed over to the Indian side from across the International Border. He said: “The search party observed a drone coming from the border side and fired at it. It had a payload attachment which was screened by the bomb disposal experts”. Bhagwant Mann, CM, PUNJAB Tribune News Service Mansa, May 29 Famous Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh, alias Sidhu Moosewala, was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Jawaharke village, near Mansa, on Sunday. The incident took place a day after the state government pruned his security cover. Moosewala, who sustained seven bullet injuries, died on the spot. His two friends, identified as Gurwinder and Gurpreet of Musa village, were critically injured. Mansa Civil Surgeon Dr Ranjit Singh Rai said Moosewala was brought dead at the Civil Hospital. He said the injured were referred to another hospital. The singer was among the 424 persons whose security was curtailed by the state government on Saturday. He had contested the recent Assembly poll from Mansa on the Congress ticket and was defeated by now ousted minister Dr Vijay Singla.
