The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress said working out is beneficial to her mental health, as well as her physical condition, but she looks to do something “achievable” that keeps her active rather than sticking to weights and machines. “For me, working out is very much a part of my mental health regimen. I find that I grow very lethargic when I don’t work out, and it changes my mood,” she said. “For my own sake, and the sake of the people who I’m hanging out with, it’s better if I work out. It’s about caring for yourself.” Nyong’o further said, “I’ve come to realise that working out does not require a gym. You can work out with your body weight, which I love.” She added, “Personally, if I find ways to make my workouts easily achievable, it’s more likely I will commit to them. I have a jump rope that I love to use. I will play tag with my friends and get my heartbeat going. I think moving is important.” The 39-year-old star is currently planning a trip back to Kenya to see her family and no matter how often she visits, she always finds something “new and surprising” to explore. —IANS E LABORATE sets, risky action sequences and scenes involving fire, film shoots have often ended up in major accidents. Unfortunately, one person is reportedly dead in a fire incident on the sets of Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer untitled film on Friday. A fire reported broke out on July 29 around 4:30 pm at the Chitrakoot Studio in the Andheri West. Reportedly, the fire was extinguished by Mumbai Fire Brigade at around 10:35 pm. The incident is said to have delayed Ranbir–Shraddha’s shoot schedule that was about to begin. Accidents on the sets have led to similar consequences earlier too, mostly involving fire. A fire broke out on Prabhas-starrer Adipurush’s sets in 2021. No loss of life was reported. Back in 2015, while a dance sequence was in progress in Filmcity for ABCD: Any Body Can Dance 2, a fire on the sets was reported which was caused by a short circuit. About 600 people were present at that time, who were all safely evacuated. Both Shraddha and her co-star Varun Dhawan tweeted about the incident, and their resolve to Smoke rises from a fire at a film set at Chitrakoot Ground next to the Andheri Sports Complex, in Mumbai. His Main Tera Hero shoot in Thailand was disrupted by a fire in 2013. Reportedly Varun and his costars Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D’Cruz were in their vanity vans when a generator caught fire. No one was hurt in that incident. A year before, three crew members were injured in a fire on the sets of Dabangg 2 at Mehboob Studio, Bandra. While the film’s lead star, Salman Khan, accompanied the injured to a hospital, his brother Arbaaz Khan, who was directing the film and their father Salim Khan too reached the hospital. The fire reportedly broke out due to an electric blast. Sanjay Leela Bhansalidirected and Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerjistarrer Black had a fire incident on the sets at Mumbai’s Film City back in 2004. The accident burnt down about 70 per cent of the sets giving the director sleepless nights. It delayed the shoot schedule. The most infamous fire incident to have occurred during the shooting of a film is probably that of Mother India. Shot between hay sacks in Gujarat, the film’s heroine Nargis was trapped when playing the ‘real’ hero, her co-star Sunil Dutt saved her. Both suffered injuries. The accident is said to have brought the two together and they got married the following year in 1958. If film sets saw fires, TV shows too had its share of accidents. The most devastating fire broke out during the filming of TV show, The Sword of Tipu Sultan. Reportedly 62 people perished in the Premier Studios, Mysore in 1989. Its director Sanjay Khan suffered major burns and was hospitalised for over a year. He underwent 72 surgeries to make a miraculous comeback. Back in 2013, the sets of Comedy Nights with Kapil caught fire due to a short circuit. There was no loss of life, but the sets were damaged badly in the mishap. Kajol completes 30 years in the film industry A milestone! Kajol is one of Bollywood’s most consistent actresses. She made her debut in 1992 with Bekhudi and later was a part of many classics, including Baazigar, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, My Name Is Khan and more. Recently, she completed 30 years in the film industry and expressed gratitude on the occasion. Taking to her Instagram handle, Kajol expressed gratitude to her fans and shared a video montage of her popular films. The actress wrote, “Someone asked me yesterday what am I feeling? Couldn’t really put it into words, except to say that it is a feeling of deep gratitude for all the love everyone has showered on me so unconditionally! So, cheers to 30 years and counting...and God willing to another 30 more!” Replying to this, hubby Ajay Devgn wrote, “Three decades in cinema! And, you are all fired up! Frankly, you’re just getting started. To many more milestones, movies & memories.” In search of true heroes Chitrangda bags the rights for Subedar Yadav’s story Chitrangda Singh had produced Soorma, which was based on a true story of Sandeep Singh, ex-captain of the Indian hockey team, and starred Diljit Dosanjh and Taapse Paanu. Now, Chitrangda has bagged the rights to another inspirational story of Subedar Yogender Yadav. Subedar Yogendra Yadav fought in the Kargil war and is the youngest ever to receive the Param Vir Chakra at the age of 19. It will be a three-day affair in Mumbai in the presence of family and friends. This includes mehndi ceremony on August 9, wedding ceremony on August 10 and a reception on August 11. The wedding is believed to take place as per Hindu traditions, where Carla will pair her bridal outfit with her mother-in-law’s jewellery. Arjun says, “Carla understands Indian weddings and has, in fact, taken over the prep completely. She picked the venues and hired a wedding planner. She also selected my outfits for the wedding. Even though her family is not from India, they are excitedly working on their Indian wedding attire and prep.” Arjun and Carla also plan to hold a white wedding next year. Colin Farrell, Viggo Mortensen, and Joel Edgerton play diving team players, who leave no stone unturned to save the boys. c m y b August 5: Darlings on Netflix Produced by Gauri Khan, Alia Bhatt and Gaurav Verma, the film is directed by Jasmeet K Reen. Starring Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew, Darlings is a dark comedy drama which explores the lives of a mother-daughter duo trying to find their place in Mumbai, seeking courage and love in exceptional circumstances while fighting against all odds. In legal soup Suit filed against Akshay Kumar for Ram Setu Akshay Kumar’s upcoming film Ram Setu seems to have landed some legal trouble for the actor as political leader Subramanian Swamy has filed a petition seeking to have Ram Setu declared a national heritage monument. The apex court is set to hear the case next week as the politician claims that the issue has been misrepresented in the film and that facts have been tampered with. The film reportedly shows Akshay as an archaeologist who explores the secrets of Ram Setu. In the film, Akshay’s character tries to uncover if the bridge is a myth or reality, which according to the Ramayana, was built by Lord Rama’s army of Vanara to reach Lanka to rescue Goddess Sita. —TMS

The Tribune, the largest selling daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the paper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
The English edition apart, the 133-year-old Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
