The Rajasthan Police’s special operations group (SOG) found that the student had shared the guess paper with his friends and a hostel owner. The document reached the candidates in Jaipur and nearby areas before the exam was held on May 3. “The police from Sikar, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu and SOG teams have questioned over 150 candidates and their friends. The investigation revealed that the guess paper had allegedly reached certain individuals in Rajasthan before the commencement of the examination. These findings were shared with the National Testing Agency, following which the Centre decided to cancel the examination. Vijay, whose party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) stunned Tamil Nadu’s political establishment by ending the decades-long dominance 144 MLAs voted for Vijay, 22 against of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) in last month’s Assembly elections, secured 144 votes in favour of the motion. Twenty-two MLAs voted against the TVK alliance government, while five members abstained. Verka’s standard one litre pouch that was earlier sold at Rs 63 will now cost Rs 65, while full cream milk will be priced at Rs 71 instead of Rs 69. Half litre packs will see an increase of Re 1. The print price on the pouch would remain unchanged until packaging stocks lasted, Verka said. The only upset came in Uklana where the party candidate for the post of president of the municipal committee was defeated by a 23-year-old Independent UPSC aspirant, Reema Soni. The Congress finished a distant second, its mayoral candidates getting only onethird votes compared to the winning BJP candidates, Haryana BJP chief Mohan Badoli, newly elected Mayor Rajiv Jain and MLA Nikhil Madaan with a winning councillor in Sonepat.
