Released in 1988, The film starred Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit in the lead roles. After giving a blockbuster remake like Kabir Singh, producer Murad Khetani has reportedly bagged the rights for a Tezaab remake. As per reports, the makers are planning to modernise the script while keeping the essence intact. The cast of the remake is yet to be announced. It is not yet confirmed whether Madhuri and Anil themselves will be part of the remake. The movie is currently in the development stages.
