Butteron top On World Bicycle Day, celebs share their childhood memories SCHOOL TIME SAPNA THAKUR RAJVEER SINGH ARUN MANDOLA SIDDHANTH ber how you fell when your father left the back seat he was holding? Also, cycling to the nearby grocery shop made you feel victorious. In foreign countries there are specifically cycle tracks for the people, I wish to see that in India also. We can actually reach our nearby destinations by cycling on designated tracks. I was in the sixth grade when my mother gifted me my first cycle on my birthday - a red Hero Jet. Along with six other friends, I would ride my bicycle to school every morning. Even after so many years, I still have that bicycle at my house in Chandigarh. Whenever I get a chance, I love to go cycling around the city! I really miss those days, especially my girl gang who I was extremely close to. POSITIVE FEEL PRATEIK CHAUDHARY FIT MODE RAJVEER SINGH Bicycle doesn’t require much maintenance and is pollutionfree; it helps you keep your body fit and nothing can beat that. Whenever I think of a bicycle, it reminds me of school. From fifth grade to 12th, I have travelled by cycle. However, after coming to Mumbai, my frequency of cycling decreased. At times I do pick up my bicycle early in the morning and go for a ride though. In fact, I used to travel to my previous show’s sets by bicycle only! I wanted to cycle my way to Qurbaan Hua’s sets too, but it is just too far from my place. SAPNA THAKUR PRATEIK CHAUDHARY BEST BUDDY MRUNAL JAIN Childhood c m y b memories are MRUNAL JAIN incomplete without learning how to ride a bicycle, falling down a number of times and, of course, injuring the knees. I got my first bicycle when I was around 10. Right now, in lockdown as the gyms are shut, I go cycling for at least an hour. Cycling on regular basis helps me remain in shape. It also creates no pollution. BALANCING ACT ARUN MANDOLA One of my fondest childhood memories is how I learnt to balance the bicycle. Remem- Learning to ride a bicycle when I was a kid was quite a challenge. I remember I used to take such good care of it. Cleaning it, putting machine oil and making it shine. I think a bicycle is the easiest and eco-friendly mode of transportation. Cycling is good for health, fitness and it evokes positive feelings. K-pop band BTS’s new single Butter has made it to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Butter is their fourth chart-topping single to date. We’re happy and honoured that the song reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 again. We wouldn’t have gotten our fourth chart topping song without everyone’s love and support. Thank you for enjoying Butter and we will keep working hard to deliver refreshing and passionate music,” the group said in a statement. Butter became the most streamed song in a single day in the history of Spotify, amassing 20.9 million global streams on the first day! The music video of the song set an all-time record of 108.2 million views in 24 hours, and the biggest music video premiere on YouTube with 3.9 million peak concurrents. — IANS CHILDHOOD DAYS SIDDHAANTH VIR SURRYAVANSHI I got my first bicycle when I was in school and still remember it was a BSA cycle, which my father had gifted to me. I was extremely excited about it. Every morning I used to ride it to my school and used to race with my friends. I had also modified it to suit my preferences and for it to look cool in front of my friends! Thinking about bicycles really takes me back to my childhood. K-POP BAND BTS
