According to an order issued by UT Adviser Dharam Pal, with Naveen appointed as the SDM (South), Pradhuman Singh, HCS officer, has been relieved of the charge. This is the seventh carjacking incident in Mohali district in the past 40 days. The incident took place around 10.30 pm when the victim, Gaurav Sharma, 40, was returning home from Chandigarh after work. The four suspects allegedly came in front of the victim’s car near the Nature Park, opposite YPS School, Sector 62, forcing him to stop. They surrounded the vehicle from both sides and forced him out. The victim was allegedly assaulted and pushed to one side of the road as the suspects sped away. In a complaint to the police, the victim claimed due to dense fog, he could not see the direction the suspects took while escaping. The notices have been served on the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI); Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32; Panjab University; Punjab Engineering College; BSNL Society and Progressive Society, Sector 50; Kendriya Vihar Society, Sector 48; Pushpak Society, Sector 49; and Market Committee, Sector 26, all of which are bulk waste generators (BWGs). The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising four eminent persons as trustees.
