A group of thieves, clad only in their undergarments, could be seen scaling the walls of a house in the colony in the footage of a CCTV camera installed in the area. It has been learnt that the gang struck seven houses in the colony, but thanks to the vigilance of the residents, no major incident occurred. Two frausdters running a fake SIM racket in Jalandhar were nabbed by the Lambra police after separate complaints were received against them from Airtel and Vodafone nodal officers. Running telecom stores at Bhagwanpur in Jalandhar, they were operating 5 to 11 SIMs from single addresses by forging documents and defrauding leading mobile network service providers. Bar up in arms against Shahkot SDM 12-yr-old delivers baby; probe on Tribune News Service Jalandhar, May 27 In a highly charged meeting held at the Litigant Hall, Judicial Court Complex in Nakodar, the Bar Association unanimously passed resolutions condemning the alleged misbehaviour of the Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Shahkot, towards a member of the Bar Association. The association announced a protest in front of the SDM office and called for a boycott of the court proceedings in support of their demands. They declared a no-work day in the Civil Court, Nakodar, on May 29. As per official sources, the minor is native of Bihar and is presently undergoing treatment at Bibi Nanki Mother & Child Hospital, Amritsar. Child specialist Dr Naresh Kundra said it was a premature delivery. The child weighed only 900 gm and was serious. Both mother and child were shifted to Amritsar.
