Anwar Tariq was found murdered on November 23, 2018, and his body was lying near a tree in a field cultivated by Sohan Singh. SHO Yadwinder Singh said a case under Section 302 (murder) was registered. A closure report was submitted in a court, which was rejected. Further investigations are on in the case. Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma said the police got a tip-off that a gang involved in making fake CBSE and open school certificates was operating in the city. The consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya will take place on January 22. Som Parkash said two trains will run from Pathankot and one each from Chandigarh and Nangal Dam. The first train will leave from Pathankot on February 9 at 7.05 am and reach Ayodhya Cantt on February 10 at 02.55 am. The train will leave Ayodhya on February 11 at 12.40 am and reach Pathankot at 7 pm. The second train will depart from Nangal Dam on February 12 at 7 am and arrive at Ayodhya Cantt on February 13 at 02.55 am. Bus driver Arvinder Harwal and his cousin Ajay stopped the bus and jumped out of the vehicle. The bus was completely damaged in the fire. Ajay sought help from the fire brigade at the toll plaza. Fire tenders were rushed to control the flames. Arwinder said they were returning to Srinagar after getting the bus modified from Indore. A short-circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire. Chanchal was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Consequently, the Commissioner of Police said a case under Section 302 of the IPC was registered at the Jalandhar Cantonment police station. The police arrested the suspect and further investigations were on into the case.
