REPORT: BACK PAGE New Delhi, July 24 Observing that there is a trust deficit between the protesting farmers and the government, the Supreme Court on Wednesday directed Punjab and Haryana to maintain status quo at the Shambhu border till next week to prevent the situation from flaring up. It also directed the formation of an independent committee to negotiate with the farmers to find an amicable resolution to their issues. The cops reached the iconic Taj Mahal along with the handcuffed prisoner. I challenge the Congress to say whether it named all states in the many budgets it presented in the past when it was in the government?” a combative Nirmala asked in the Rajya Sabha today. She was countering Leader of the Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge, who accused the government of neglecting non-BJP ruled states in the Budget and led the Opposition walkout over the issue.
