The cameras have enabled an advanced surveillance to enable swift incident response and improved traffic management. Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma said the police were enhancing their operations by adopting the latest advancements in the CCTV technology aimed at improving overall security and efficiency. He said an extensive network of 1,003 CCTV cameras, including 978 fixed cameras, 15 PTZ cameras and 10 face recognition cameras had been strategically installed for a continuous surveillance coverage. The surveillance would help improve traffic flow and trace incidents using cutting-edge technology.
