The police were tightlipped over the drug seizure as investigation was in progress. According to information, the police got a tip-off that the trio were involved in drug trafficking at large scale. The water supply and sewer bills were sent to city residents through mSeva portal by the MC. Residents are raising objections over the flaws in the bill payment portal. Officials of the MC claimed that IT experts of Punjab Municipal Infrastructure Development Company (PMIDC) from Chandigarh were working on data base of software to rectify errors. Many residents had complained that money got deducted from their bank accounts, but the bill payment did not reflect in the online water and sewer portal of the MC. Civic body officials claimed that consumers would soon get relief from bill-payment related issues. “The general public is requested to pay their water and sewer bills to the MC on time. In case of any difficulty regarding billing, consumers can contact staff concerned at the office of Water Supply and Sewerage Department of the MC. Their problems will be solved on priority basis. Tarn Taran, August 30 Three persons died while three others were injured in two road accidents on Thursday in the district. The deceased were identified as Manjit Singh (45) and Sukhdev Singh (55) of Ghurkwind village and Jugraj Singh (19) of Wara Telian village (Valtoha). The injured were identified as Sona Singh son of Suba Singh, Sona Singh son of Wassan Singh and Lakhwinder Singh, all of Ghurkwind village. All the deceased and the injured, except Jugraj Singh, worked as mansion. They were returning home from Khadoor Sahib on two motorcycles when a car coming from the opposite direction collided with their two-wheelers near Shahbazpur village. Manjit Singh died on the spot. The condition of the remaining three victims was stated to be critical.
