The suspect has been identified as Gursiddak, alias Siddique, a resident of Bal village. His accomplice, Vishal, alias Chui, a resident of Rajasansi, fled the scene. Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said they had received intelligence inputs about the movement of two suspects in the Rajasansi area. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, during a meeting with US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, expressed concerns over anti-India activities of pro-Khalistan outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) in the US. India urged the US administration to take stringent action against the illegal group.
