King B also shared details about his upcoming film Dama Dam Mast Kalandar, which is set to release soon. For King B, Jatt Di Queen is not about larger-than-life superheroes or fantasy worlds. Instead, it reflects the emotional realities of ordinary families. “It’s a love story,” he explains. “And it’s very relatable. It’s about the problems we face in real life — situations where we often don’t know the answers.” The film explores relationships, married life and the challenges faced by passionate individuals striving to balance ambition with family responsibilities. At its heart lies a simple yet powerful idea: behind every successful man stands a strong woman — and in this story, that woman is the true hero.” Bharat to King King B’s journey to the big screen is a story of persistence and reinvention. Born as Bharat, his name itself carries a cinematic legacy. “My father was a film buff,” he recalls. “He loved actors like Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan and Manoj Kumar. Manoj Kumar was known as ‘Bharat Kumar’ in many of his films, and that’s how my father named me Bharat.” Raised in Jalandhar, King B describes his hometown with affection. According to him, the city has a unique warmth. “People are loving and well-connected to their families, even if they live abroad.” Before stepping into the entertainment industry, King B built a following as a social media influencer. He began creating videos on Facebook around 2013, long before short-form video content became mainstream. Over the years, he adapted to changing digital trends, moving from videos to reels as platforms evolved. “I always wanted to become a hero,” he says with a smile. After a few false starts, eventually, opportunities emerged in Australia (that he calls home now), where he met producers who believed in his talent. Together they worked on Dama Dam Mast Kalandar, a comedy with social and political undertones. King B describes the film as a refreshing concept. “Usually in Punjabi films, characters dream of going abroad. But in this story, the hero comes to Punjab to work. That’s something new.” Directed by Sukhvir Singh, the project blends comedy with meaningful storytelling — an approach King B believes audiences will enjoy.
