VEN Mumbai seems to be getting its own small slice of winter this year — that gentle nip in the air, the softer sunlight, the sudden calmness around Film City. And, our television stars are absolutely loving it. They tell us just how deeply this season affects them in their day-to-day work life. PRANITAA PANDIT FEELS LIKE HOME: Pranitaa Pandit Being a Delhi girl, winter has always felt magical to me. Even this tiny hint of winter that Mumbai gets puts me in the best mood on set. That slight chill in the air, the softer sunlight… it reminds me of home and makes the whole day feel lighter and happier. PRATIKSHA RAI COZY VIBE: Samridhii Shukla One thing about winter that instantly puts me in a good mood on set is that little chill in the air as our set is in Film City and it’s surrounded by trees. In Mumbai, when the weather gets a bit cooler, it feels so refreshing. I love holding a warm cup of coffee between shots. It just makes everything feel calmer and nicer. That slight winter vibe makes the whole day on set feel cozy and happy. TRAILER OF MRS. DESHPANDE OUT Madhuri Dixit is all set to rule OTT space with her new show Mrs. Deshpande. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Mrs Deshpande will be out on JioHotstar on December 19. With her role as a serial killer in the series, Madhuri feels she is breaking the usual ‘mould’ of female characters. “It was a challenge, ” said Madhuri Dixit. GINGER-LY: Pratiksha Rai The moment that the winter chill hits the set, my mood instantly lifts. Everything suddenly feels magical. And I love that Mumbai now gives us even a tiny hint of winter… bas thodi si thand and I’m smiling. But the real highlight for me is ginger tea. I’m obsessed with ginger. I want it in my food, in my chai, literally in everything. I’m a full-on ginger fan, and winter just makes that love even stronger. SIMON NOT ‘PROUD’ Simon Cowell seems “not proud” of the way he once treated contestants during his early years on American Idol. The longtime judge, best known for his sharp tongue, has now openly ‘apologised’ for his behaviour. Whether I’m shooting or not, the winter elevates my mood and instantly makes me get out of the house by riding my sports bike, specially at night. It’s been a practice for many years. I enjoy the empty streets at night and my time on the bike. So, the winter has definitely, again, pushed me to take out my bike every night. And currently, I’m shooting night shifts. Also, shooting night shifts in Film City is fun because it’s surrounded by forest and we are in the middle of nature. And the temperatures, in comparison to the city temperatures, are way cooler. It’s a super chill atmosphere, and I’m enjoying it. PEACEFUL FEELING: Adrija Roy Winter is my favourite season. Everything feels calm, and the winter sun just adds this warm, cozy feeling to the day. Even getting ready in the vanity feels nicer when it is a little cold. Winter just makes everything feel peaceful for me. SAMRIDHII SHUKLA KANWAR DHILLON ADRIJA ROY Sienna Miller expecting third child Ranveer apologises to Rishav Ranveer Singh on Tuesday issued an apology after receiving criticism for reportedly mimicking actor Rishab Shetty from the film Kantara: Chapter 1 at the closing ceremony of the 2025 International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Addressing the issue on Instagram Stories, Ranveer wrote, “My intention was to highlight Rishab’s incredible performance in the film. Actor to actor, I know how much it would take to perform that particular scene in the way that he did, for which he has my utmost admiration.” He added, “I have always deeply respected every culture, tradition and belief in our country. If I’ve hurt anyone’s sentiments, I sincerely apologise.” In the viral video from the ceremony, Ranveer was seen praising the actor, saying, “I saw that in the theatres, Rishab, it was an outstanding performance, especially when the female ghost gets inside your body, that one shot...” He then imitated the scene, leaving Shetty laughing, but many social media users found the act disrespectful and insensitive. Talking about his upcoming projects, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Dhurandhar, a spy-action thriller written, directed, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar. Produced under Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, with Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi in supporting roles. —ANI c m y b Sienna Miller, expecting her second baby with boyfriend Oli Green, her third overall, revealed her pregnancy at the 2025 Fashion Awards in London.
