Investigating officer (IO) Rajinder Singh said the suspects had been identified as Paramjit Kaur and Swaran Singh, residents of Pandori Sekhan village. In his complaint to the police, Joginder Singh, a resident of the same village, said the suspects attacked him with weapons on the evening of June 26. He suffered serious injuries in the attack. A case under Sections 323, 324 and 34 of the IPC has been registered. Investigating officer (IO) Janak Raj said the suspects had been identified as Harbakash Singh, a resident of Langrayin village falling under the Bego Wal police station in Kapurthala district. The IO said a case under Sections 406 (breach of trust) and 498A of the IPC was registered against the suspects. OC Our Correspondent Phagwara, June 30 Over 10 armed assailants attacked the house of an NRI at Atta village near Goraya last night. The victim’s uncle, Makhan Singh, told the police that the suspects, who came on five motorcycles and a car, ransacked the house of Italy-based NRI Upinderjit Singh. They also damaged the household goods and a car with iron rods. Before joining the police force, Sukhjit’s father was a hockey player himself. The journey has not been certainly easy and there were various challenges for him. Sukhjeet’s father Ajit Singh is posted as an ASI in the Punjab Police. “We faced financial problems too. I started playing when I was only six years old.
