The incident occurred on the night of December 30, when the victim, Aman Sharma, was returning home with his friend after attending a New Year’s party. According to the police, Aman, a resident of Jammu Colony, Model Town, reported that he was robbed of his Maruti Swift car and two mobile phones Ludhiana, December 31 The Bharti Kisan Union (Kadian) appealed to the President and sought her intervention to resolve issues of farmers and put pressure on the Central Government to accept their demands. During a state-level meeting of the organisation held at Gurdwara Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib in Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar here on Tuesday, union president Harmeet Singh Kadian said Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh performs during the concert. the organisation wrote a letter to President Droupadi Murmu and sought time for a meeting so that they could discuss the farmers’ issues in detail and find a solution. However, amid the celebrations, the Punjab Police took to social media to remind citizens of importance of following rules and regulations. In a series of humorous posts, the Punjab Police used their Facebook and Twitter handles to warn lawbreakers of consequences of their actions. One of the posts, which went viral, featured the heading ‘New Year 2024 Celebration’ and included a witty message that read: “December 31 special law and order performance by the Punjab Police. This New Year’s Eve, if you are drinking and driving, fighting on streets, breaking law and order, the Punjab Police have offers for you. Free entry at the city eras installed in the area to identify the suspects. “We are probing the matter and are trying to identify the suspects,” said ASI Umesh Kumar, the investigating officer. “We have registered a case against the suspects and are making all efforts to arrest them,” he said. The police have also appealed to the public to come forward with any information related to the robbery. “We urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information about the suspects to come forward and help us in the investigation,” the ASI said. The police registered a case against the unidentified persons and are investigating the matter. Woman held for taking drugs Tribune News Service Ludhiana, December 31 After a woman’s video in which she was taking drugs went viral, she was arrested by the police from Manjit Nagar. Investigating officer ASI Jasvir Singh said on December 30 when he, along with a police team, was patrolling. he received a video in which a woman was seen taking drugs. After verifying the video, the woman was identified and a raid was conducted to nab her. The suspect, a resident of CRPF Colony, was arrested and a case under the NDPS Act was registered against her. Police sources said connection of the woman with drug smugglers was also being probed. The police would also investigate if she was involved in drug smuggling.
