For ten days, Chandigarh gets an opportunity to do just that. Through workshops, lectures, competitions and a host of other activities, the Le Corbusier Festival invites people to look at the city not merely as a planned urban space, but as a living idea that continues to evolve. More than a celebration of the architect who conceived the city, the festival offers an opportunity to revisit Chandigarh through different perspectives and to look beyond its familiar sectors and iconic buildings and ask what makes the city unique and how its original vision has evolved. A decade after Le Corbusier’s architectural legacy in Chandigarh found a place on the UNESCO World Heritage list, the city is set to revisit the ideas that shaped its identity. The Chandigarh College of Architecture is observing the milestone with a 10day festival that began on Friday, bringing together lectures, workshops, competitions and other engagements centred on the city. The festival seeks to reconnect residents, particularly the younger generation, with Beyond the blueprint The 10-day Le Corbusier Festival invites people to look at Chandigarh as a living idea that continues to evolve Chandigarh’s modern heritage and encourage a deeper appreciation of the vision behind this city. The event honours the legendary SwissFrench architect, Le Corbusier, who not only designed Chandigarh but also conceived the Chandigarh College of Architecture in 1961. The 10-day festival brings together a range of creative and cultural engagements along with cultural performances, including Kathak and Bharatanatyam. To help visitors understand the significance of Le Corbusier’s architectural works, the college has also put together an exhibition the vas deferens (CBAVD), resulting in obstructive azoospermia. The abovementioned genetic abnormalities may be transmitted to offspring. In females, genetic abnormalities may contribute to diminished ovarian reserve, premature ovarian insufficiency, and disorders of sexual development. Turner syndrome and certain FMR1 gene alterations are associated with impaired ovarian function. Moreover, conditions with familial tendencies, including polycystic ovary syndrome and endometriosis, may increase the risk of subfertility, although their inheritance is multifactorial and influenced by multiple genes and environmental factors. However, infertility itself is not usually inherited as a single genetic trait. Many common causes, such as tubal damage, infections, age-related decline in fertility, and acquired reproductive disorders, are not directly inherited. Therefore, genetic evaluation and counselling may be valuable for selected infertile couples, particularly when severe male-factor infertility, premature ovarian insufficiency, recurrent pregnancy losses, or a suspected hereditary disorder is present. It’s the people, food, culture and stories that make a place truly memorable. I love sitting with locals, hearing their stories and trying traditional food because that’s when you really feel connected to a destination. I try to embrace and experience the local culture when I travel to a place, and I always try to protect the environment at any cost. I personally prefer culture, food and landmarks. NFERTILITY is a complex reproductive disorder defined as the failure to achieve pregnancy after 12 months of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse and it affects 10-15 per cent of couples. It can be due to male or female factors both and results from a combination of genetic, environmental, anatomical, hormonal, and lifestyle factors. An important question in reproductive medicine is whether infertility can be inherited? Evidence suggests that certain causes of infertility have a significant genetic component. For example; in males, chromosomal abnormalities such as, Klinefelter syndrome, chromosomal translocations and Y-chromosome microdeletions can impair spermatogenesis and lead to severe oligozoospermia or azoospermia. Mutations in the CFTR gene may cause congenital bilateral absence of of students’ work. Another exhibition focuses on the works of Matthew Nowicki, highlighting his architectural designs and innovative approach to modern architecture. The celebrations will conclude on October 6, coinciding with Le Corbusier’s birth anniversary. c m y b Tough times? Tell me about that? Things were sort of difficult. Thankfully the last two years have been very kind. It started with Call Me Bae. That set the ball rolling. Then there was Dynasty. That gave way to The Revolutionaries and then Lust Stories 3 followed. Adhure Hum Adhure Tum is coming next. It’s a love triangle with Imran Khan. It’s for Netflix. There is of course Call Me Bae 2. Was it different being directed by a woman? I don’t think so. The female gaze is super-interesting and it’s super intriguing. I enjoyed every bit of it. What are you seeking in your roles at this point? It’s to do new things and new parts. I took chances with Guilty in which I played a convicted rapist. In Call Me Bae, I played a boring reporter. Class again was experiment because it was an ensemble cast and I played a Dalit boy.
