Aneet brought a cool, quirky Gen Z vibe to the runway as she showcased Amit’s exquisite collection. The showcase captured the transition from day to evening wear, featuring structured silhouettes, expressive colours, rich textures and glamorous designs. Of course, it had Amit’s signature metallic pleating. This collection beautifully interprets the 5PM Glam Reset, mapping out a fluid transition from the rigorous structure of the workday to the sheer freedom of after-hours expression. Speaking about his collection, Amit said, “I think how a working professional moves from a 9 to 5 and then from a 5 to 9. And I think in those conversations I think revealed such wonderful revelations about our own life. Like beyond 5 we literally feel like free birds who want to be a version of ourselves that’s truly akin to who we are. And, I think I’m really happy with the fact that Lakme supported that vision and said let’s bring it up with great product, great makeup because I think that’s an integral part of how you feel post 5 pm.” Aneet’s outfit featured a striped shirt that she paired with a metallic corset and wide-leg purple trousers. Karan Johar’s college romance franchise Student of the Year is getting a darker web-series spin off in Student of the Year: After Dark, starring Shanaya Kapoor. JioHotstar on Monday unveiled the first look of the series. Directed by Reema Maya and produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the series will stream on November 13. Maya described the project as something stripped to its bones and reimagined as a thriller competition web-series. “Karan Johar has put his faith in my voice and vision and I’m excited to have fun with this genre. The web series format is giving us a wide canvas for the conversations we want to have with our youth. We had so much fun with the music of the show,” she said, praising Kapoor. Johar, who launched the original SOTY in 2012 with Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan in lead roles, returns as the producer on the project. “When I look at this new chapter, I see a phoenix rising. We began this franchise with big dreams in 2012b and now we’re breaking every rule we set. With Reema’s genre-defying direction and Shanaya’s powerful double-role performance, we’re setting the stage for something spectacular. Shanaya isn’t just stepping into the spotlight, she’s shattering it and the first look is just the tip of the iceberg”, said Johar, Founder & Managing Director for Dharmatic Entertainment. — PTI ‘I DON’T BLINDLY FOLLOW TRENDS’ On Dasehra, celebs talk about keeping traditions alive & embracing the spirit of good over evil Several members of the film industry have come forward to condemn the firing incident targeting actor Tiger Shroff. As we grow older, we start understanding the deeper meaning behind our festivals. The story of Lord Ram reminds us to stay grounded, no matter how successful we become, and to stand by our principles even when the circumstances are difficult. I think that is a lesson we can all carry into our everyday lives. Wishing everyone a very happy Dasehra!” STAY HUMBLE: AMAL SEHRAWAT “I think the most interesting thing about Dasehra is that Ravan was a knowledgeable and powerful man, yet his ego became the reason for his downfall. That itself tells us a lot about human nature. We can have talent, intelligence and achievements, but HOT THIN-CRUST TREAT T RY the very thin-crust pizza at Social, Elante. We often focus on Ravan’s defeat, but I feel his story also makes us think about the mistakes that led him there. In our own lives, we sometimes let anger, pride or stubbornness affect our relationships and decisions. The festival is a good opportunity to pause, reflect and correct ourselves before things go wrong. I hope this Dasehra brings a little more understanding and peace into everyone’s life.” CONNECTED TO ROOTS: AADESH CHAUDHARY “Dasehra has a special place in our culture because it brings families together and reminds us of the values we have grown up with. What I love about this festival is the positivity and enthusiasm surrounding it, from the celebrations to the stories of Lord Ram that we hear every year. I feel festivals like these keep us connected to our roots and give us a chance to spend quality time with our loved ones. This Dasehra, I hope everyone finds reasons to smile, leaves behind past negativity and welcomes new opportunities with an open heart.” c m y b MELODIES LIVE ON T HE Yellow Diary brings In Case We Forget India Tour to Diablo, Sector 29 on October 24. She believes in choosing what feels right, what she is comfortable in, and what allows her to express herself best through her style. On the sidelines of Lakme Fashion Week, Diana opened up about her fashion mantra. “For me, it’s actually not about sticking to fixed trends. I’ve always made them my own, you know, kind of made sure that they suit me, my personality, the clothes that I wear; I need to feel them. So, I feel like fashion is an expression of yourself and not so much just cut-and-paste of what you see online or what somebody’s wearing at a fashion week. I don’t blindly follow trends, and I kind of make them my own,” she shared. The Cocktail star also shared her love for 80s fashion. “I love the fashion of 80s.
