A team, led by ADCP-1 Sameer Verma, conducted a surprise checking at the city railway station and in surrounding areas of the station. Motive of the checking was to ensure no anti-social element or any miscreant attempts to carry out any anti-national activity. Besides the railway station, the police also checked some parking lots in the city and instructed contractors to ensure no unwanted elements park vehicles to fulfill their ulterior motives. Meanwhile, with an aim to strengthen public safety and security under the ‘SecurePark Ops’, a park- ing inspection was carried out, focusing on the surveillance and security of open parking spaces throughout the city, the ADCP said, adding that the objective of the drive was to deter illegal or suspicious parking activities, enhance the safety of public spaces for commuters and residents, increase police visibility and strengthen community trust and collect data on parking usage patterns for future improvements. He said multiple open parking areas were inspected through the Vahan app and on-the-spot verification of parked vehicles was carried out. The police remain committed for public safety during the festival season. He also urged residents to stay alert and inform the police if they get any information about any suspicious person or thing. Man nabbed with heroin, illegal pistol, motorcycle Three vehicles collide on Shivpuri flyover, youth injured Ludhiana, September 22 Three vehicles collided on the Shivpuri flyover on the National Highway on Sunday night. In the accident, a Bolero camper belonging to a bread company and two cars were involved. The accident said to have caused when some youths were drinking alcohol by parking their car in the middle of the flyover. After the accident, traffic on the road was affected which was restored by the police after some time. In the accident, a car that collided with the camper overturned and one of the four youths in the car was seriously injured. He was taken to a nearby hospital where his condition was stated to be stable. After getting information, the police reached the scene and cleared the road blockade. According to information, the accident occurred on Sunday night around 10:45 pm. Some youngsters were drinking alcohol in their car parked on the Shivpuri flyover. Raman from Jalandhar stopped his car and asked them to clear the way. While Raman was talking to them, a Bolero camper came from the rear and hit his car. Afterwards, another speeding car coming from the rear hit the camper and overturned on the road. Four youths were travelling to Amritsar in the car. One of them suffered serious injuries. The youths, who were drinking alcohol in their vehicle, fled the scene. For the past seven years, Shehbaz has been playing roles during Ramlila, Janam Ashtami, Shivratri and Ganesh Puja under the banner of Tri Murti Kala Manch, Ahmedgarh. Bholla returned after working in the field of acting in Mumbai for 13 years but he had kept his art alive by associating with the organisation of Ramlila and other events, including jagrans and shobha yatras, in the town. Bholla works as a milkman but he does not charge any- thing for providing support to rehearsals and preparations of such religious events. Jai Jai Hanuman, Jai Mata Durga and Jai Shani Dev were serials in which he played roles of Hindu deities. Bholla claimed that he had more knowledge about Hindu religion than any other religion as he had studied vast literature during his acting career.
